Cambodian 'starbucks'

 

At lunchtime my colleague Sophary took me to the local cafeteria. I could not see any espresso machines nor filtered coffee machines. How can I get coffee. At first lady poured pitch black coffee to a glass mug from an old fashioned coffee pot, added evaporated milk from a can. Then she went to her red ice chest and grabbed ice (ice was clean, I saw it) into a plastic mug. Finally, poured the coffeemix onto ice. Delicious!

 

 Near our hotel there is a Buddhist University, and next to it a padoga. At dawn you see munks coming out of there. They are friendly, and happy to be in pictures.
